pixel art animation and statics
for Kolkian / Devin Chin (composer)

i created a simple pixel art animation for a music video, featuring three cute lil jazz cats!
this initial animation was then converted into several different iterations of stills, which are being utilized for Kolkian merchandising. take a peek at the merch store here.

bearshare (2021)

bearshare is an app concept targeted towards Cornell University students seeking rides. Ithaca, NY is a notoriously bad town for even the most popular rideshare apps, and the town’s own various taxi services are often unreliable. bearshare aims to target and assuage these pain points with Cornell students by creating a community of trustworthy student drivers and paying student riders.

the app is designed based on apps already familiar to our audience — Uber, Lyft, Google Calendar, and more.

YOUNI (2020)

YOUNI is an app concept for creative Cornell students seeking partnership and collaboration on passion projects. Cornell is home to many different project teams and university-sponsored projects, but we found that it was difficult for students to organically connect with like-minded, similarly creative students to work on non-academic projects for fun. YOUNI aims to resolve this gap for all creatives, from performers to developers.

in our research, we discovered an existing global platform called Daisy which we drew some inspiration from, but we noticed that this platform seemed a little underused. we wanted YOUNI to be catered specifically towards students on college campuses.

also, the name YOUNI was derived from combining “you” + “universe”/”university” 🤗
